Privacy policy
Your belongings are personal. We treat them that way.
This policy explains how SGK Studios handles information when you use the Label Trace mobile application.

Who operates Label Trace
Label Trace is operated by SGK Studios. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to admin@sgkstudios.com.
Information we process
Account information
If you create an account, Firebase Authentication processes your email address, authentication identifiers, verification status, and sign-in credentials. If you use Google sign-in, Google may provide your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier. Label Trace does not receive your Google password.
Belongings information
Label Trace stores the bins, container names, item names, quantities, notes, locations, tags, timestamps, and related workspace records you create. Signed-in belongings records are stored in Google Cloud Firestore and associated with your account identifier.
Photos, camera, QR codes, and text recognition
Camera and photo access is used only when you choose to photograph an item or scan a QR or barcode. Item photos are stored locally on your device in the current version of Label Trace. Text recognition is performed on-device using Google ML Kit. Label Trace does not upload item photos for advertising or sell them to third parties.
Guest use and local preferences
Guest mode uses an anonymous Firebase account identifier. The app also stores local preferences such as onboarding completion and may retain queued or cached belongings data on your device to support offline use.
How information is used
- Authenticate accounts and preserve guest-to-account upgrades.
- Create, retrieve, search, update, synchronize, and delete belongings records.
- Provide QR scanning, label recognition, offline operation, and account support.
- Protect the service, investigate abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Label Trace does not sell personal information and does not use belongings data for third-party behavioral advertising.
Service providers and disclosure
SGK Studios uses Google Firebase for authentication and cloud database services, Google Sign-In when selected, and Google ML Kit for on-device scanning and text recognition. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services and under their own applicable terms. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Security, retention, and deletion
We use platform authentication, encrypted network connections, and account-scoped database access controls to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Account and cloud belongings data are retained while your account is active. Local photos remain on the device until you delete them, delete your account through the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Account deletion removes the Firebase account, associated cloud belongings records, and Label Trace photos stored locally on that device.
You can delete your account inside Label Trace or use our external account-deletion page. Email requests are verified and normally completed within 30 days. SGK Studios does not intentionally retain a separate copy of deleted belongings records. Firebase may retain encrypted backups for its standard service-recovery lifecycle under Google's applicable retention practices.
Your choices
- Use guest mode instead of providing an email address.
- Decline camera, photo, or notification permissions in Android settings.
- Review, correct, or delete belongings records inside the app.
- Request account deletion or ask a privacy question by email.
Label Trace is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child supplied personal information, contact SGK Studios so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as Label Trace changes. The current version will remain available at this URL with its latest revision date.
